Soundscape is a landscape itself and sound is the building. The cloud of particles, sound waves and vibrations, there is a great potential for an extraordinary future. This is a celebration, this is an innovation, this is future. This is “a new humanism”. Basically, the project itself is an innovation. It is a proposal for future energy generation alternatives. We are focusing on piezoelectric technologies to develop them regarding using sound vibrations.

SOUND ANALYSIS: Sound was measured along different parts of the city and the site in order to compare the amount of sound produced during different time of the day. Based on the analysis the amount of sound inside the site was mapped.

TECHENICAL RESEARCH : ENERGY COMPONENT & THERAMIN

SOUND VIBRATION + PIEZOELECTRIC STRIP = ENERGY PRODUCTION

Aim of the research was to find out the use of sound to produce useful energy. Among the materials piezoelectric materials can produce energy from vibrations. Sound of varing frequency and amplitude was applied to piezo disc and piezoelectric fibre composite strips. of 11mm and 54mm wide. The piezoelectric fibre composite material strips of 54mm wide gave more output of about 3.5 V/sec the maximum and about 1.75 V/sec on an average.

The component, vertical poles with the strips that can change their height as per the real time sound around the site in order to capture maximum sound vibrations into the strips and even to control the effect of external sound into the site. Every pole were made up of 4 poles of reducing diameters for allowing the pole t go inside one other to have a free vertical movement to react to the real time sound data.

SOUND PERFORMANCE: The concept of the ‘Theramin’ musical instrument was achieved through the physical model. The model will be generating sound based on the people movement of there hands above the model without even touching them. The hand movement data is captured and converted to sound frequency, pitch and amplitude and the output was given through the headphones inorder to provide every induvidual different sound based on there movement.
